I just realized something - is this the first time that UA has written menus in Arabic? I know it may not be that big of a deal, but I just checked all of UA's current and previous destinations and I think it is the first time.

The menu actually has several interesting variations from the ususual Business fare I'm used to - maybe it is more like pacific service, which I don't do much.
No appetizer before the salad - this reminds me of the morning flights from Europe
Salad - fine
The return of the "served all together" meal. This disappeared from US-Europe some time ago.
No Ice Cream option
Midflight snacks - again like the Europe-US am flights.
Hot Breakfast option - again a variation of the morning Europe-US flights and this also jives with the lack of appetizer before the main meal.
Wines sound like the current standard issue - the red has been the Taurus on every flight I've had in the past 2 months.
Is anybody else sick of the pasta? I liked it the first couple times but it got old really fast.

It actually was quite bland. The consistency was not as creamy as Foie, rather a bit tougher than I would expect for liver. It wasn't gross at all, just so very unremarkable.

UA needs some stronger alliances with Gulf Airlines in KWI to make this a feasable flight and a good connection point.

what's the first picture in the album. also, great pics. i would get uneasy flying over baghdad, even though i'm sure it's safe. that must have been one great experience. it's something i would love to take advantage of!

Was Channel 9 available on the flight? I'm a closet aviation geek, and like the other poster, I'm really curious to hear what it was like, especially over Iraqi airspace (I heard it's controlled by the US military...)
