Question: Ted Fare Selection
 
Is there a way to select the fare I want to pay?

For example, on TED website, going from DEN-PHX there are many fares to select from:

Promo/$59 -- Advance Purchase/$79 -- Restricted/$119 -- Refundable/$229

So let's say I want to select the $79 fare, how do I do it? When I selected the $79 fare (to qualify for DYMTWTU), it kept giving me the promo fare for < 100 RT. Can I not pick the specific fare I want?

No, you don't get that kind of control. It always assumes you want to pay the lowest available fare.

If you want a specific fare your best bet is to call UA. They should be able to accomodate requests like that over the phone.
