Booking Issues

I'm trying to book a trip, BWI-BDL-DCA.

US has the most flights and options for the route. The US web site is charging about $240 for the trip.

I'd like to book on UA's web site, so the miles will automatically drop into my MP account (at least in theory. I flew to Montreal in May, booking on UA's web site, and flying AC Jazz. I'm still waiting to be credited the miles for that trip, even after sending a letter.)

Unfortunately, UA's web site is not listing the same flight options the US web site is. And UA is charging close to $500 for the trip.

Question: What's the best way to make the reservations for $240 and insure the miles flown on US will be credited to my MP account?

Thanks!

Max

Just make sure your UA M+ number is on the US Airways reservation. Should be no problem at all.

That's my experience as well.

And UA lost my letter with the original BP so no credit. :(

Booking via the ual.bomb website does not guarantee MP credit being given.

When you're using ual.bomb, are you selecting US flights to be shown as well?

If you don't get credit, copy your BPs and receipts before submission. I had a BP lost by UA but persistence paid off.

I've booked through US Air before, they let me directly enter a MP number at time of booking. Flight credited right away.

Of course this was awhile back and their website may have changed for the worse with the merger.

I can confirm, I recently booked thru USAirways.com (lower fare than UA.bomb for same US metal flights) and they specifically say that you have to call in to get non-US FF# entered. :td: One of many things that still need to be fixed post-merger.

I just reserved my flights online and the US web site would not let me use the UA-FF #. Bummer.

Let's see how long it takes US to address this issue.
