What does "DL" mean on a waitlisted flight
I have my wife on a confirmed award tkt but we're trying to get her out a day later. Here's what it shows on My Intineraries:
Denver Colorado (DEN) to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (PIT) United Airlines 0728 Flight: DL Aug 18 10:59 AM depart DEN Aug 18 04:00 PM arrival PIT Cabin: United Economy The other segment shows it is "waitlisted." |
You angered the gods of travel and get to fly DL via ATL. ;)

The pilot's on the 15-day disabled list?
|
I think it means defered from listing...no idea what that means...and that is just a guess.

I would call UA ...
Segment status DL means deferred from list. In other words, the computer is saying the waitlist cleared, but the passenger never responded to accept or decline, so you were deferred from the list, and the next passenger in line was confirmed. It normally means that the airline has attempted to contact you, but never heard back, so they deferred you. I believe you have to cancel the DL segment, and re-waitlist yourself.
Call UA ... |
