why CH8?
A quick and maybe completely irrelevant question, but:
Why does the IFE system always seem to default to Channel 8 when the system is reset?! It seems to me that CH8 is probably one of the least listened to channels!
Anyway, doors are closing. Was just a nagging thought...

Guess...
Perhaps because the number 8 lights all the segments in the display making it easy to test?

Might depend on the plane.... seems to me 752 and 763's go to ch2

Seems to go to ch 2 for me no matter what plane I'm on. Don't recall defaulting to ch 8.

I obviously spend too much of my time on 735's....earning minimum miles down the back!
