VDB when connecting to a *A codeshare?
I'm flying IAD-CDG-WAW on Saturday and IAD-CDG (UA914) looks full, CDG-WAW is UA4796 which is a codeshare with LO332. I have a flexible schedule so I would be happy to take a VDB. I've done VDBs many times on domestic flights, usually with a rerouting but don't have experience with international and in particular codeshare scenarios.
Will UA VDB passengers connecting to a codeshare? Even if it means changing the routing and the airline on the second segment (I could connect to an LH flight instead of LO through FRA, MUC for example)? Caesar |

It just will cost them too much to do so. Last time I had such a situation (albiet couple of years ago) they will not bump me off becuase re-booking of the second international segment was not possible. |
