Minority Report

So I actually do feel guilty about cutting in front of GMs if there is no one manning the premeir line. After reading this thread, I'm now willing to stand around for a minute to see if the agent will notice me and wave me on over... but beyond that, I am too afraid of the wrath of the unwashed masses if I jump the line... some of them look like they could very easily and (with very little provocation) deliver a standing kick to my head!!

And to respond to an earlier question, yes I have been singled out many many times in premier and first-class lines because I didn't look the part.

Identifying Information

We could get t-shirts with the status printed on the back; the 1k etc could be a zipper flap, then when status changes, the flap would change . . . . . .

Uh-oh, now I'm in big trouble! Up to this point people found this thread simply amusing, but now that you've said that... I may now be considered a threat to all that is good and right in the world. Someday a UGS is going to recognize me, and place a sign on my bike that says "Claims to be a lowly 2P, but secretly despises all the gate lice and would sneak into a UGS line given the chance." :D

But that's the fun part about standing in that line! Haven't you ever thought it might be fun to be part of a mob? ;) .

I've seen this brought up a couple times, and it surprises me. If I can pass for something with status, anybody can. The first couple times I used the line, I must have looked quite tentative and apprehensive, like I was in the wrong place... and people who look that way, often are. Perhaps they took pity on me. Or perhaps they've seen it in other lowly 2Ps?

I will, but y'know, if it wasn't for a friendly UGS helping me out a couple years ago, I might still be stuck in MSN.

I was nothing more than Gate Lice back then, on a business trip and trying to return from MSN. Weather was messing everything up and it was looking like I was going to be spending the night (and perhaps more than one) in an airport. Someone else out there for the same meeting, who happened to be a UGS (I had no idea what that meant at the time), heard of my plight, took me up to the counter, right past everyone, and in no time I was on a plane heading out of town.

So maybe I'm just trying to return a favor, helping out others less fortunate. Don't get me wrong- I'm happy to be in the Premier line. But if the opportunity to help someone out comes up, I will.

Get one of those LED belts and put "I AM A MIGHTY 1K!" :D :D

I'd feel bad using the Premier line, as it would mean that there wasn't a F/UGS line and I'd have to line up with all the lowly 2Ps :D

Not totally wrong .. but the agent should have served the premier line with
priority but not entirely stall the GM line. This is what they do in most cases
at the airports abroad I am using.
If there is a real line of premiers take 2 of them, then one GM.
So maybe you sacrificed yourself for a worst case that would not have
materialised anyway.

Yes ... but then it gets replaced by another guilty feeling of "I spend many days in these damned steel tubes, this is probably their one flight in half a year - better them than me back there, I'd go nuts"

:(

Bravo Mike!!!!!

I am not guilty using Premier line, however if I am not in a hurry and I would let the GM person ahead of me, if I have no 1K or USG behind me.

God forbid they will jump all over me if I do.
