a ual.com question

If this was once a topic in the past, please direct me to it.

I am trying to make a reservation that contain both international and domestic flights in business class (first in the domestic portion).

SEA-NRT-HNL-SEA (via SFO)

I used the multiple cities and put the cities and dates in the appropriate blanks and choose "Business Class." The ual.com says "No qualifying flights" for the HNL-SEA portion. I am guessing that it is because there is no business class service in the domestic portion. If I try it in economy class, no problem.

What I want to accomplish is to book SEA-NRT-HNL in business class and HNL-SEA in first (domestic) class.

Do I have to call the agents?

Thanks.

Try a search by price. Good luck getting it to spit out the flights you want! UAL.COM might give you Biz on the international and Coach on the domestic. If it does, and if the coach segment is in a full fare class, you can ticket then call UA to revalidate that segment into biz.

Good luck!

Or you can just book it in F, hold the reservation, call UA and have them refare the PNR into C (and select new C seats!), and then purchase it online.

FWIW, I don't see any C cabin availability (C, D, or Z) between HNL and SFO, so that's probably causing the problem you're seeing. And that means you'll have to call to book your flights.
