Errors with West Coast bonus miles posting?
 

Since registering for the west coast bonus miles promo, I was surprised to spot an error in my bonus miles posting.

Since October, I had three roundtrips from West Coast (Seattle). The bonus miles should be 1000, 2000, and 3000miles. This is how my winter statement itemized my earning.

I called the Mileage Plus Service Center to get this corrected, but was wondering if anyone else has seen this occur in their statement. They couldn't tell me why my 3rd trip ended up being credited as a 1st trip.

Check your statement to make sure you had been credited correctly.

Yes, I think the same thing has been happening to me. It's a lot of work to piece out the bonuses (I've been flying IAD-SFO-IAD a lot, which gets me both promos, I think) . . . but it's probably worth it to figure out why my bonus tallies have been lower in January than in November and December.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. My Winter summary just arrived and I have the same issue as you -- the third trip posted as a first trip. I'll definitely be calling the MPSC tomorrow to get it resolved.

I haven't checked the mail for my statement, however I've been keeping track via a spreadsheet.

I maxed out on the WC bonus flights in December and believe I have received all 36k bonus miles. Individually I had some odd-ball numbers, but the sum total was correct. The T&C's said circle trips did not count, however a circle trip appeared to have been credited with the miles (too many miles, as if it counted as two r/t), but a later r/t was credited with less than expected.

I did a MR back in Nov from NY to PDX - JFK-SFO-SEA-PDX-ORD-IAD-JFK. The bonus never posted, and the 1P desk tell me its because my trip was a circle ticket, not roundtrip. Anyone done a MR and not received the bonus because of it?

My final flight on that promo didn't seem to post right, either... I'm still trying to piece it together because with the on-line booking and check-in bonuses and the DC promotion... I'm :confused:

I've received 7 west coast bonuses usually 4-5 days after the RT is complete...Its been really amazing how many miles I got out of a 0.8K BIS round trip with creative routing and associated bonuses (12K RDM, 2K EQM) :cool:

Side note/question: Now, I've got the 8th going out on the 13th and returning on the 17th. I'm hoping for the grande-prize final bonus, but I'm hopefully not correct then I assume the trip has to be completed before or on Feb 15th, right..?

I had probs with my bonus posting so I called and went through it with the MP folks on the phone and the corrected the errors (missing the third and fourth ones) and posted immediately.
