Waitlist Question
 

My award ticket is already ticketed. I tried to change my mileage award ticket from 10/8 to 10/9 same flight same time just different days (trying to avoid a change fee..I'm not 1K member- I think that's what you call it). Agent told me that there was no availability and I couldn't even wait list the flight.

Main thing is I wanted to leave MCO one day later. So, I'm waitlisted on a flight Mco-Den original was Mco-ORD. I saw a thread here which I can't find anymore saying that if they changed flight itime on my original flight that I could have my miles redeposited no fee.

If I understand right what I should do if I have the opportunity to get off that waitlist is go ahead and book another award on that waitlisted flight. Wait for a change on my original flight and have my miles redeposited. I have enough miles to do this. Anyone know how they'll contact me if I get off this waitlist?

My question then is what are my chances of a flight time change on my MCO-Ord or ORD-HNL flight?

Any advice on getting my award ticket changed from 10/8 to 10/9 would be appreciated.
