100% work perfect for me :)

Tell me if you've experienced this - I got an SMS AND email re: Upgrade Confirmation for my next month's LHR-SFO but Int'l 1P desk told me that the NC upgrade hasn't cleared yet. I received a similar SMS and email for my outbound (SFO-LHR) a couple of weeks ago and they were indeed cleared. Both segments are using SWUs.

Here's the kicker: My Itineraries on ual.com shows 'Upgrade: Waitlisted' on both segments even though the outbound has definitely cleared (and it has my C seat number assigned). Should I be worried or am I doomed to keep calling daily for my inbound clearance?

Thx!

Don't worry. My trip to SYD and back showed the same thing as yours after I was confirmed. No problem at check-ins.

Be careful about last minute notifications about upgrades. I received several last minute SMS messages about upgrades confirmed only to arrive at the gate with 30 minutes left to see my original seat posted on the display as a candidate for upgrade. Then 3 UGS come along and every seat listed disappeared: no upgrades.

Then on several of my international returns, I check in and lo-and-behold there was an upgrade that I did not get an SMS message for.

BTW if you are getting SMS messages late, and you are using Verizon, call their customer support and have them change messaging servers.

enjoy
Bob

System works well...WHEN the messages come on time. 1/2 the time over the past few months I've gotten these things late -- sometimes days afterwards.

So then the system doesn't work well... ;)

Thanks to the inventor of SMS Text Messaging.

Once again, I have to say
