When do the online booking bonuses post?
 

Do the online booking bonuses post to your account at the same time that your flights do, or are they added in a separate sweep sometime (e.g. several days) later?

Never, I've booked about 10 tickets on united.com looking for my 1,000 bonus miles. Each time, there is a different reason as to why my trip isn't elligible. I've given up. Good luck

Mine took about 3-4 weeks following the completion of the flights (my flight miles actually posted a day or two after the flights). I am not sure if UA does this consistently since I have heard reports that bonus posted along with flight miles. YMMV.

Correct, they post along with the flight miles, very confusing, especially when other bonus are added in to the total as well.

My experience has been anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for the online bonus to post. Don't know why it takes so long.

My most recent experience took about 5 days to post, after the miles themselves had posted. YMMV.

A couple weeks for a true roundtrip. It rarely posts on its own when an open jaw or multiple trips are involved (I always have to call it in). Don't forget that the bonus doesn't post when you include a US codeshare flight.

I used to get them in 500-mile chinks on each end of a RT, and often immediately after the miles posted. Somehow, however, I have yet to get any of them for flights taken in 2005 (3 roundtrips so far)...

Same time as my flight point posted.

Shown as 500 bonus to the first flight each way, in the same line of the flight points.

I just checked and mine posted for a flight last weekend, but not for two trips taken in January... perhaps they had a similar delay as with the 500-mile E-Upgrade sweeps?

Speaking of those, I did notice my 500s posted over the weekend :D

And, if you bought tickets for one or more travel companions, only one traveler (the purchaser) will accrue the 1,000-mile RT online booking bonus.

That's because open jaws are specifically excluded from the bonus. If you're getting someone to post them, you're lucky.

This is the one I find incredibly annoying, and is the primary reason my wife and I travel on separate PNRs.

did a same day "out 'n back" m/r oak-iad-oak on saturday, february 12:

mileage for both fligths posted that same night and were in my a/c on sunday, february 13. the 1,000 mile on-line bonus posted today (wednesday, february 16th) and the 2 rtw promo credits for each iad segment posted yesterday (tuesday, february 15th)
