In F on my last Int'l flight we had Ebony.... LOTS of Ebony. 6 copies. Nothing else. I'm now up to speed on Usher and Naomi Campbell and the world of Nat King Cole.

p.s. flights in C: 2x they wheeled through the newspaper cart, with a couple of copies each of a number of major newspapers. 2x they didn't give any out. Maybe it is b/c the twice I got papers, it was the "breakfast" service flight, whereas the others were lunch and red-eye, respectively.

Another flight.. more Ebony. I wonder if this is there way of performing diversity education for their customers.

My flights at the end of December had a magazine rack. Read a January issue of a laptop magazine on that flight.

Question though ... a bit OT ... has anyone ever seen anyone "read" porn on a flight? I've always seen it sold at the newstands, but never saw anyone "read" it on a flight.

I always bring quite a few magazines with me on the plane. After I read them I always used to leave them in the seatback pocket thinking that they'd save them for other people. Not so. I now know that they promptly trash them. So then I tried asking an FA if she might want to put into the magazine rack area for others and she said no and to just throw them away if I didn't want them.

Do the RCCs carry magazines?

The US Airways Clubs have an okay selection...Newsweek, Golf Digest, Budget Travel and the aforementioned Ebony. The mags aren't supposed to be removed from the clubs, but if I'm flying home through the same airport I'll just sneak one in my briefcase and return it to the club when I'm back.

This idea might work for the RCCs if they have magazines...it's been a while since I've visited an RCC so I don't remember what sort of reading material they carry.
