No more hot nuts?

Maybe this is another example of the service levels on the LAX-SYD flights, but so far this year, SYD-LAX and LAX-SYD, the nuts were cold upstairs in C. Maybe this is policy for 2005?

I don't know about the SYD flights, but I was served hot nuts this month ORD-EZE and EZE-IAD in C.

Same with SFO-HKG-SIN-NRT-ORD in C this month.

On my EWR-LAX and LAX-IAD flights last month (757 F westbound, 763 C eastbound) the nuts were cold on both segments.

Come over to AA...their nuts are always warm even on 3-hour lunch and dinner flights out of DFW. :)

Plenty of hot nuts ladled-out in Business Class travelling IAD-LHR, LHR-LAX, and SEA-NRT. I expect plenty on NRT-SFO tomorrow, as well.

Hmmmm........NRT, EZE, LHR......mine's not QUITE as glamorous, but nonetheless, plenty of hot nuts ORD-BWI on Friday. :D

Have you tried telling the FA you have cold nuts and would like him/her to warm them up a bit? Maybe that would get their attention.

Always? Hardly. Last couple of times in domestic F on AA at mealtime, the nuts were anything but hot. IME flying both of these airlines up front lately, it's pretty hit and miss on whether or not the nuts have been warmed at all. As much as we all would like some consistency, it's no different in the hot nut department at UA as it is at AA IMHO.

Same on SFO-BOS

No hot nuts on SFO-BOS(First class) either, must have been a new crew.

No pre-flight drinks either. When asked for a second helping, he said he would check to see if they had any left, never got back to me either way. No cookie for a snack afterwards.

Hot nuts on UA715 DCA-DEN last friday. I know that this is an overgeneralization but there were two male FA's serving F, and they would hardly lift a finger. Had to ask for refills, had to ask to ask to get my tray removed . . . just felt like these guys were going through the motions.

Aaaaah. The first Hot Nut thread of 2005.

It's a bit like sighting the swallows returning to Capistrano.

I may now sit back and relax knowing that all is right in the world. ;)

On the Sydney to Los Angeles flight Wednesday Jan. 19, the nuts were hot in both first and business (and they brought extras in business without even being asked). However, business didn't get the ice cream sundaes for dessert that first did.

I had hot nuts SFO-LHR-SFO in C in the last few weeks. Things got better when I asked them to turn the cabin temperature down a bit....just kidding! :) :)

My impression is that C gets ice cream, F gets topping on the ice cream. If that isn't worth several thousand bucks extra, I don't know what is.

No nuts at all

We had no nuts yesterday SFO-IAD in F, but we did have a very attentive male FA/purser. He was constantly at the ready with refills and weather updates for snowy IAD. And there were cookies before landing.

67% Hot Nuts

Last week in domestic F
ORD-DFW no nuts, cold or hot :(
DFW-ORD yeah! hot nuts
ORD-BDL yeah! hot nuts

Some guy on the ORD-DFW started complaining about no hot nuts. The guy next to me commented on how unnatural it was to heat the nuts, that they become unnaturally chewy.
