List of Interline Baggage Agreements?

My question was kind of simple, can I interline baggage check united to Cathay Pacfic (DCA-JFK-HKG). However, i see that this is a rather frequent question (about various airlines) and I was wondering if any lists exists of all of UAL's baggage agreements?

This information should be in any reservation system. When trying to get a ticket issued on Atlantic Airways last Fall, I saw a print-out from the reservation system on whom could issue a ticket for them as well as their interlining agreements.

In regards to interlining to Cathay Pacific from United, that should not be an issue as most airlines have agreement. If you were flying Southwest, it would be an issue as they do not interline. I interlined a bag from UA to FI (Icelandair) without incident last year.

I would say yes and no. I would only imagine that the interline agreements are subject to change, so posting a list would do you no good, if let's say the interline agreement is cancelled. I do know that the airlines will provide you with information regarding the current status of the baggage interline agreements when asked.

Generally speaking an airline like UA is likely to have current interline agreements with nearly every other major airline. Unless you're travelling on a low cost carrier that specifically opposes the idea of connecting baggage (e.g. Ryanair/Easyjet in Europe, JetBlue in the US) then I can't see a problem. I certainly wouldn't imagine any issue with members of the big three alliances (including CX, which is a member of Oneworld).

I interline baggage between UA and PK (Pakistan International) all the time. The only problem is that UA can't seem to get the baggage loaded on the same flight as me!

Well, that's what I would have thought too, but I discovered just last week that UA does not interline with Aerolinas Argentinas (AR), the flag carrier of one of the world's major nations, and a destination UA serves twice a day from IAD and ORD! So I guess you really do have to check.
