Can't check-in online

Can't check-in online for a flight later today.

UAL.com shows "Please see a United Representative at the airport to check-in."

WHY?

Are you flying international? Are you using a paper upgrade?

en... Maybe, but not really

Tried to change schedule online, but after I deleted the old itinerary, I realized it really hard to use, then I put back the old itinerary, the computer hadn't begin to recalculat the fare yet.

Find ual.com is hard to use: can't select seats, hard to find the aircraft type, too many steps to change schedule, flight status update too slow and not accurate.... And too many delay and cancellation for evening flight.

Really worried about this weekend's trip, especially will connect at ORD on return route. I even begin to hope UAL cancel my trip today.

Large chance of having SSSS on your BP. You might plan ahead to leave some extra time for the SSSSpecial treatments at SSSSecurity.

When you are a "selectee" for additional screening by TSA (even if your body and bag don't alarm you get the hand wand, pat down, hand search of bags) du e to 1-way ticket, last minute purchase, random chance, government watchlist, whatever.

Selectees have the letters "SSSS" emblazened on their boarding pass. And (at least on UA), selectees can't check in on line.

WHY?
Why not just call UA and ask them? Let us know what the issue is.

Actually, I just searched this board. There is a similar topic before, but it did not give out satisfied answer.

I am tired to call airlines and car rental companies for policy explanation. Every times I called, two persons would give out two different answers.

Just don't trust them now.

Thanks, I will see if there is "SSSS" on BP and report here later.
