Need advice

I'm currently PremEx w/50K EGM s for the year.

Here's the issue:

Upcoming planned trips: SFO-TPE (6455 x 2 RT in C), SFO-BOS (2709 mi x 2), SFO-ORD (1846 x 2).....for a total of 22402 miles plus a few assorted short hops SFO-LAX, SFO-SAN.

I am clearly NOT going to make 1K; therefore, what's the incentive, other than miles,to fly UA?

I am Gold on AA (still) but that airline still makes me mad over a couple of really poor service issues at DFW a few years back and I have not flown them ever since. I thought about flying CX via HKG to TPE but the whole AA service issue still bugs me and I don't think I'd find much use for the miles w/AA.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Just want to point out that for SFO-(NRT)-TPE r/t, with the 50% EQM bonus for paid C, I get 19,440 EQMs. That plus your other trips (not counting the short hops) give you an additional 28,540 EQMs, or put you near 80K for the year.

With this math, once you factor in your short hops (say another 2K EQMs), you'll be only a couple MRs away from 1K. Certainly doable, but only you can decide if it's worth it to you.

!

You'll undoubtedly get several more informative replies, but the obvious issue to me is that your planned trips will put you over 60k - and earn 500 mile upgrades, and then over 70k - where you will earn more u/gs. If you go up to 80k, that would earn even more. Not to mention the miles.

I will probably not make 1P this year, but am still looking at those 10k thresholds.
