Could you consider adding a second thread about upgrades on US codeshares?
This thread focuses on upgrading US flights on UA metal, but also covers some other scenarios in greater detail the one currently in the FAQ.
Thank you.

It looks like "JSD's comprehensive guide to AA for UA 1Ks" hasn't been added yet:

Question from a Newbie
Brand new to FT, have a simple question...
I am booking multiple tickets (4) on UA and on the purchase page the website prompts me for an optional Program Code. Is this a generic MP thing
or does UA have special codes for multiple bookings?

Welcome to Flyertalk!
Btw, I know it can be a bit intimidating to post a new thread - but, I'd post a new thread on it, as everyone will see it right away and I'd bet you'll get an answer within 30 mins. On this thread most regulards kinda ignore it unless they need something on it.
Hope that helps!

United.com 5% Discount No Longer Works
There have now been several threads alluding to the fact that it appears all the current UA 5% online discount links no longer work. Not sure if there are any other discounts that could be substituted?
