USAir EQM Bonuses?
Hi all,
It has been a long time since I visited with you; my travels have been curtailed a bit (now Premier Exec only after a five year 1K run). Things look like they will be ramping up again, though, and I continue to find everyone's advice valuable.
My current question pertains to the marketing partnership with USAir. I know that as a 1P I earn both flight miles and the 100% bonus for being 1P even when traveling on a USAir flight operated by USAir. What I have not been able to find out is whether I receive the Elite Qualifying Miles bonus for flying full-fare (Y or B). According to United's website, I receive 150% credit (ie. a 50% bonus) on EQM's flying on United in Y or B. According to USAir's website, Dividend Miles members also receive the same bonus when flying on USAir in Y or B.
So the big question is: as a United Mileage Plus member flying on USAir in Y or B, do I get the 150% EQM credit?
Thanks for your help in advance, and my apologies if this has been discussed before: I didn't find anything on this in a quick search.

Yes, you will get a 50% EQM bonus for flying in Y/B on US (I've had 4/4 such segments post correctly so far this year). There is a page on ual.com with an EQM table on it that includes US, though I remember it being kind of hard to find.
Here's a press release with details on the F/C/Y/B EQM bonuses on US and LH:

old thread!
can someone tell me whether this is still true?
I found a great one way B fare on US from europe to the states that I would like to book. The transatlantic flight would have a US flight number but is operated by LH. If anybody knows whether those flights would yield 150% EQM please let me know.

nobody flying US B-fares on LH metal that can help me out here?
to make it even more challenging I have yet another question. Since it is a LH operated flight across the atlantic is there any way to upgrade that one using 15K UA miles?

It still holds true for US flights, but since you are taking a LH metal flight, the LH metal earnings apply.
Either way you will get 150% EQM. Can you share the fare you got?
