transferring Chase card points to MileagePlus

I was thinking about jumping on the New Chase Sapphire Card offer, ((https://creditcards.chase.com/credit...MSC=IQ16832222)), getting the bonus points and then transferring them to my United MileagePlus account. I will keep the card 6-8 months and then cancel. I'm new to all this, so can somebody please tell me what's wrong with this idea? Is the transfer easy, painless, free?? thanks, y'all!

You're fine, but be aware of impacts to your credit score.

"Churning" cards is a long practiced art. Search for "churn" on Flyertalk and also other sites like boardingarea.com, for example. There are people who write about this a lot and have incredible, complex strategies. They also discuss in detail how to manage your credit scores, etc.

The general topic of credit card churning is more regularly discussed in MilesBuzz!
