LH Purser thanks me for being *G
Pleasantly surprised when the purser walked up to my seat (in C) and thanked for being *G and exchanged some pleasantries as well. She specifically said "Star Alliance Gold via United Airlines". Ditto for my neighbor.
I don't recall this happening to me on UA (either domestic or international). Perhaps they have better things to do than acknowledge lowly 1Ps

Didn't realise they were mutually exclusive. I've been thanked for my business as a Plat on PMCO flights frequently in the past so maybe that will carry on in the new airline. It certainly is a nice touch. I'm almost sure the video was played on those flights but can't be positive

I just had my first UA/CO flight tonight (JFK-SFO) since 1K posted for me. The purser thanked me for my loyalty. ^
During my time in the ranks earning 1K as a 1P, I've seen plenty of GS's thanked by FAs.

I had flown LH in F earlier in the month, no one ever come by to thank you for my business or thanks for being *G. Even with TG in F, they came to thank you for my business, but not thank you for being *G.

I have never flown in LH/LX F where the purser didn't thank me for my business both at the start and at the end of the flight. I thought it's SOP that the purser chats briefly with every F passenger.

Been a Premier since 1993, Premier Exec in 2010, 1K in 2011 and qualified for 2012 and have never been thanked for my business while flying expect once on a UAX flight from Moline to ORD. Always thanked when I call the 1k line.
Been on several LH flights and not thanked though I love that they block the seat next to me.

Almost everyone I encounter at DL these days, check-in agents, SkyClub dragons and DM telephone agents, thanks me for being a Diamond Medallion and for my loyalty.
This has been my experience as well.

Yes, UA management should be required to take a flight on Virgin America or Virgin Atlantic to see how to make an informative, but very clever welcome/safety video.
