FRA->BOS in Old Business?

I have a flight booked from FRA->BOS. I didn't realize that *A flights couldn't be booked one-way online so I booked a UA flight with a connection. I also didn't realize that not all the 777s were upgraded. I'm considering changing the flight to a 767. Is that a good idea or will I not notice for a 5PM flight out of FRA?

It's too bad that they charge $150 to reticket or I'd definitely re-book on LH.

You can refund without penalty within 24 hours, if that still applies, and then just buy the ticket you want.

If I'm not sleeping on a flight, I actually like old business. Are you in C?

Yes, I'm flying in C. Any chance they'd waive the re-ticketing fee to let me fly LH?

Short of:
  • Your 1K
  • a schedule change
  • an agent who wants to break a rule

You will need to pay the change.

You need to come up with a better reason than "I've changed my mind" or "I've decided I don't like the routing/aircraft I booked?" (at least when more than 24 hours after booking)
