Ditto. Phone call and email this afternoon that my flight this evening is on-time. If it ends up being delayed, will I get COMPENSATION for having been given a false sense of security?:D
|
Had the same thing happen to me today -- and had the same blood-run-cold moment that I booked my non-refundable ticket for tomorrow instead of Thursday. The jump in my blood pressure merits at least a $150 cert, I'd say... :p

Just back from my MR to SFO today and I see I'm not the only one who got that little surprise this morning. It caused a momentary panic when I saw "EasyUpdate Flight Alert" in my email at 4:30 am--since I knew an upgrade was out of the question (I was something like #14 on the list last night), a cancellation or delay was the most likely assumption.

Seems to have been a rash of bogus notices today. Our flight Thursday was rescheduled from 11:56 to... 11:56.

Just got easy update on both email and phone call. My IAD-LHR flight on Thursday will depart on time.

+ 1, around 15th poster noting no-change schedule change for Thursday morning.

Just got text/email for MCI-ORD-SFO on Friday. They wanted to let me know that the flight will depart on-time

It had darned well be on-time this far out in advance. I'd be really annoyed to find out they know on a Monday that a flight on Friday will be delayed! |
I rec'd an ez update earlier today that my SFO-HKG flight was leaving on time (tomorrow). For a second, I thought I missed my flight.

Got an EZ update a few minutes ago that my LAX-SEA flight Friday afternoon is on time. Like they would know now! ;) For a few seconds I thought maybe our upgrade had come through. Not likely with two of us - more likely only mine would come thru at this point since I'm 1K and hubby is no status (to United, not to me :D).
I called United and they basically told me this was an enhancement. This isn't a desireable enhancement to me. Accurate updates day of departure would be a nice enhancement. |

Wow woke up this morning to three "on time" text EasyUpdates--two for my flights on Friday, one on my flight on Saturday. Kind of ridiculous! I wish UA could operate with this much certainty!
|
Overagressive is the Right word!
One time my flight was delayed three times, I got 8 phone calls from United Easy Update - they eat up few minutes of my phone time. I was at the gate and I knew that the flight was getting delayed.
UA - it would be good to fix this system too! |

Scared the hell out of me - I thought I booked my flight for the wrong day! very weird ... especially going from not getting any updates to these very early ones .... kinda nutty .... I hope they fix this and revert back to the usual 3 hours before the flight deal... Drek |
