1K phone line not recognizing my phone - is this just me?
 
The past couple of times I've tried to call the 1K line, Hal asked me for my full "frequent flier number" rather than confirm that he was speaking with fsfsfsfs.

Is this a change that I'm supposed to like, or did something change with my cell phone carrier?

I've gotten that too recently...I just hang up and redial and then the system recognizes my name and info. Glitch perhaps??

At least I'm no longer hearing 'is this Andre' when calling on Skype. It's the small victories I suppose.:rolleyes:

It switched from recognizing my home phone to my mobile phone in the last week or two. I haven't made any changes to my profile lately. Just tried and it recognized my mobile.

I haven't had to call in for a month or so, so I haven't seen this, but it would be problematic. Mr. EasyPhone never recognizes my name, no matter how I pronounce it.

I have never had the 1K line recognize any of my phone numbers. The only time the system recognized a phone number (incorrectly) was when I called from a room at a Disney World Hotel.

OP here.

It's back for me as of today as well. Not sure what happened.... Hopefully 1kvoice doesn't think I'm crazy for complaining about an issue that was apparently fixed.

hasn't recognized my name for more than a year now! i thought it was a change for everybody?! what is the format of your phone number (US Phone number) in your "my profile"? is it 1234567890 or 123-456-7890 ? is it as "home" or "work"?

update: fixed it!

I realized my cousin used my phone number for his mileage account. I found out by logging on to "my profile" and called UA elite line and it asks "am I speaking with Jasp25's cousin?". Asked my cousin to change the phone number on his profile.

My cousin is not a UA elite or associate whatsoever but UA recognizes his name too!
