One thing I do like about most of the ads is they are now "flashing" the roundtrip price.

Yeah, I was just looking yesterday for a trip in May. All other majors from SFO to NYC were 199$, but united (actually everything listed was CO) was 380$ at least

$350 dollars from Den to LGA is a very fair fare. Seems pretty reasonable sale fares.

It's a reasonable 14 day advance purchase fare. It's not a sale. But the "sales" posted on UA's home page rarely are. I don't even look at them anymore. I go to other airlines first, and then do specific searches on UA to see if they are matching.

Very good use of the CR-1. I'm looking at the SAN-LGA route for the same thing.^

Just paid yesterday $314.40 all in SFO-JFK in early May. Upgrade waitlisted both ways. Only middle and window seats were available.

$162 (pre- or post-tax) is not a deal from IAD when you can fly US from DCA for ~$100 RT or ~$120 AI. Sure, you don't get the 500-mile minimum or BIS. But to take the metro to National and be at LGA in under an hour I'll gladly part with a hundred bucks.

Not surprising to me and many others, as you should know better by now if there is a real sale, it would come in the Mileage Run deal section instead of from UA.
