Viewing EQM on UA.com? Do they break it down?
Looking at UA.com and trying to find bonus miles for Y fares and the such that i have flown and all i see is a thing labeled 'Bonus for promotions and booking codes' that aggregates your bonuses -- but when i look at specific flights it only shows redeemable miles - is there a place to see you earned 500 for the flight and a 250 eqm bonus? im sure im missing something somewhere???

I don't think you are missing anything. The way UA displays EQMs is one of the reasons many people here maintain their own spreadsheets, so the can make sense of the aggregate numbers and identify missing/wrong postings.

It's is absolutely crazy that UA has no place online for you to view an EQM tally. Surely this information could be very easily displayed and yet it's not... it's been a major FT complaint since the beginning of time. The website has been refreshed & redesigned multiple times over the years and they continue to leave out a detailed EQM tally. It's really quite lame.

There is no true breakdown of eqm's earned on a given flight if there was a COS bonus and I'm sure you've done this but just incase....
Log into the bomb from the UA home page... Click on the "My Activity" tab Click on the "Status miles (EQM)" tab and that will expand to show you a total for Flight with United® and United Express and Bonus for promotions and booking codes and the latter is a net of your EQM COS and EQM promo bonus. Click on the "Status segments (EQS)" tab and that will show you your EQS and any applicable EQS for COS and Promos Now if you do have flight activity with an applicable COS bonus, it should show next to each line item but note, my info below doesn't format the way you see it in the far right column of the screen Mar. 01, 2011 UA 756 C Class SFO to DEN 2,176 967flight miles* 967bonus for elite members* 242bonus for booking code* *These 3 items are listed in the far right column |
they still don't ever show anything for miles accrued for purchasing with a UA chase visa on ual.com. not sure why that doesn't show up, but one really can only track the DELTA between the mileage flown, fare class bonus and the total shown for total EQM. Silly really

do Chase EQMs from United.com reflect in the COS bonus tally? (even though Chase credit card is clearly not COS per se).

not

Chase purchases do not effect the EQS totals (this difference can help seperate the source of the bonus) |

That's only if there's an RDM bonus, which doesn't apply to B, Y, or Z fares. For fare classes with only an EQM bonus, it's all about the spreadsheet...
*and also about the spreadsheet ;) |
Don't Call Mileage Plus for EQM Information
And don't bother trying to call Mileage Plus for this information!
I was on hold with a complete dunce for 15 minutes who insisted I didn't get any EQMs from my Chase Select Visa until AFTER I had charged $5,000 on united.com during the year. He had no clue where my EQMs came from and obviously no one he talked to while I was on hold did either. I finally figured it out myself after carefully reviewing my Chase monthly statements and a thread on FT about the bizarre rules used to post EQMs (e.g., only UA purchases from Rosemont, IL count and EQMs post only after 4 weeks had passed AFTER the end of the billing cycle). |
