26-29 Jan - Travel Waiver for NE US Airports and Impact to UA's Operations

The forecasted amount of snow has increased for tomorrow night (Wed) - up to 8 inches in New York area. When will we get a weather waiver? Seems like this should have happened already.

If and when UA determines it's worth one.

B6 just announced their weather waiver. Wonder if the others will soon follow suit.

I hope they do it soon. Capacity out of NYC is tight enough already without having to worry about scrambling onto an earlier flight. I'm scheduled to fly LGA-IAD-LHR on the late flights tomorrow. Something tells me I will have to make some changes...

Refresh every minute or 30 seconds

You will be the first to know when they issue the waiver.

There are some still predicting rain to start, and the bulk of the snow late overnight ending by dawn on Thursday. It's totally possible if the storm follows that tract and timeline it will have minimal impact on the airports. They may be waiting till a bit more is known about where and when.

I suspect IAD is coming soon too - 8-12 inches is the new forecast Wednesday afternoon into the overnight.

If the updated map over at weather.com is going to be accurate, the entire northeast will have waivers probably

American has offered theirs from Washington up to Boston

Thanks to the people who posted it first

If you are not following United on twitter you should be, if for nothing than they twit when they issue travel waivers (though it was still posted here first).
