January 19: Booked LGA-IAD-ABQ. First flight was scheduled to depart at 4:40 p.m. but was delayed about an hour for unexplained reasons, causing certain misconnect at IAD. Rebooked LGA-DEN-ABQ. Scheduled to arrive 2 hours later than originally planned and lost upgrade. Was given 9000 miles by the gate agent without asking.
More on January 19. De-icing truck damaged aircraft for DEN-ABQ. Had to return to gate while United got another plane. Left very late and landed at ABQ after 1:00 a.m! (My body clock said 3:00 a.m.) Everyone on board got "appreciation" cards; mine was good for 10,000 miles (or two other options that I decided not to choose).
January 23: Flew ABQ-IAD-LGA. On first flight, audio was broken in my entire row. All that we could hear was very loud white noise. Couldn't watch the movie or listen to music. All passengers in the row got "appreciation" cards; mine was worth 9000 miles (or two other options that I decided not to choose).
I'm pretty happy with 28,000 miles for all the inconvenience. Seems very fair.

CO has been historically extremely stingy. Once I was on a $10,000 J ticket flying BOS-NRT and my luggage was delayed and damaged.
After complaining, CO sent me a $75 voucher.

I am seriously worried if this is what the future brings for the combined UA/CO.

Looking for guidance from fellow FTers. Flew 840 MEL-SYD-LAX. Upgrade NOT applied for MEL-SYD but did clear for SYD-LAX. Used copay/miles to UG Y to C (as was a split fare code so SWU was N/A).
Since cost was for all legs but was not for all, what should/could I ask UA for the MEL-SYD portion in Y

That is rough.
I received $150 e-cert from UA when my exit row E+ seat somehow changed to a middle E- seat. Thankfully my flight was much shorter than yours.
Glad I didn't book the MR on CO I was thinking about...

Was bumped to C class from a Q fare on January 3rd SFO-ICN. Supposed to be the new config and it wasnt. Offered 10,000 miles, $200 voucher or 10% discount on future bookings for the inconvenience.
I opted for the $200 voucher just in case an emergency mileage run was needed at the end of the year. Kinda feel like a sucker now though, as the 10% would have been good on a 4 person ticket I need now to STT........
Oh well, got bumped and compensated as a 1P. Thanking my lucky stars as it was.

UA 950, LAX-IAD, on 1/29 - our 777 ran out of water in the toilets about 90 minutes or less out of IAD. I was sitting in C on a $230 run to MIA.
The "appreciation" offer was 9,000 RDMs, or 10% off any flight, or a $200 e-cert.
I chose the latter and will fly SNA-ORD-BOS-DEN-SNA for $86 net next weekend.

and I was offered $600 domestic e-cert, 20% off worldwide or 30,000 miles by an un-solicited/non-appreciation form e-mail for that fun trip. Now where you're a 2p and I'm a 1k and in theory, 3x 2p, my "offer was roughly 3x what you were offered.

You know, thats a good question; didnt look at those details. I guess I had assumed that if the 10% was good for just 1 ticket, spending $2000 to get me even with the $200 e-cert was likely not going to happen.
As for the form, they gave me a letter on board with a card that had a website access and serial number to choose my gift.

Had to adjust my weekly Thurs PM in order to get out ahead of a storm. When I changed my flight, the agent verbalized the correct information and I hung up. Went to try checking in online and couldn't, so I called MP reservations. Turns out they booked the flight on the next day instead. It did, however, take about an hour start to finish to get this sorted out...I asked passively if they could do anything (like a confirmed UG on the afternoon flight), they ended up offering me 7k RDM, which I gladly accepted, considering I wasn't expecting much, if anything!
