I'm gonna stop trying to discern trends, it all seems to be variance.

6/28 UA724 SFO-IAD ^ on gate-to-gate with numerous announcements from the captain.
6/28 UA948 IAD-LHR
was announced by the captain as we took the 2-hour delay at the gate due to severe weather, but didn't actually come on until they (finally) spooled an engine up to cool off the cabin. Once they did that, it was on and remained on until at least the ocean crossing, but they turned it off and forgot to turn it on for the descent into London.
