I can confirm that you can get 3P thru PerkPlus (United corporate program).

Not trying to say you are wrong but this is what our Mileage Plus Elite profile says:

Note: Effective January 1, 2011 - the invitation only Premier Associate status (3P) is no longer offered. Members who were invited to 3P for 2011 have been granted 2P status for 2011.
Perhaps they have simply changed the PerksPlus program so it offers 2P instead?

Consider this a second report where 3P changed to 2P this year.

I gifted 3P to a friend late last year, and it showed up in his MP page as such. However, he ended up getting a 2P card this year.

Exactly .. that was VERY handy.

Instead in 2011 folks who flew far LESS than me got more benefits.

If that makes sense to UA, I am glad to hear things are - SNAFU

No way am I busting my ring to get an extra 2 SWUS when it is getting harder and harder to use them.

Yes we have been told in reservations that 3P will no longer exist. Supposedly all 3Ps will become 2Ps but I have seen a couple of accounts recently that still show 3P.

So THAT'S why my wife's status jumped from 3P to 2P in January. ^ Sweet. Bad news-no more 3Ps. :td:

Any update or decision on whether there is a 2011 elite choice program?

certainty nothing has been announced yet however there is always the possible (however doubtful) of something later in the year -- such as a promo related to final stages of the merger.

seems like the elite choice program has been watered down pretty severely over the last couple of years anyway. Probably not much to miss if its not offered this year. Thanks.

now that USAirways has come out with their version of Elite Choice, do you think UA will finally come out of the closet (late) with theirs?

We can only hope. I know DL has a program. I don't know if AA does, but I would think that if everyone else does, we will probably end up with it.

I recall reading somewhere (?) that with Continental, your spouse gets a match to your status level. Anyone else remember that?
In which case I would think you could provide your daughter's name instead, assuming she has your last name, I don't see how they would know.

Believe that's a MM / 2MM / 3MM and up benefit

Yes it is, and a nice one. Wonder if that will be carried over to the new MP? Then I'd have to choose between my wife and my daughter, only one to a customer...

I'm on target for 1MM by the end of the year so this might work for me. Does the nominee match you your earned 1MM status (*G hopefully), or do they match to your earned status for any given year (hopefully GS for me again next year)?
