56,000 EMQs already. Holy frequent flier, Batman!

I managed only 24,500 EQMs in Jan.

Guess who was there on January 20th.......hint.....the same guy who got there on January 19th last year. I feel inadequate at 60K BIS.

segments

I am on my usual pattern with segments. Sitting at 16 segments now. I believe I can make 1K again by hitting 120 segments. But being a 1K segment flier, I don't get any additional benefits that you get while doing it on EQMs.
I will probably stick with United to see how the new program is and then decide whethe to stay with them or not 2-3 years later.

Haha, it only took me 11 months and 8 days longer than him last year.

Likely to make 1K again this year, however, a fair chunk of it is going to be on SQ and TG where UA doesn't fly. If I did my 100K BIS on UA, I'll reach MM status, but as it looks, I think I'll end the year on about 960K lifetime miles. Will be extremely frustrated if the MM rules and benefits change (which I suspect they will). I'm really regretting about 150K worth of SQ transpacs back when I didn't know that there was value to the million mile mark.

No. ^

This could be an interesting year. I could save boatloads of $$$ using up e-certs and miles, in a year when it could make sense to save boatloads of $$$ using up e-certs and miles. I'd end up a lowly 2P again in 2012. Logically, it would make sense to save the $$$. Emotionally... sigh. I wasn't a Humble 1P long enough towards the end of 2009 to know if that's my rightful place in life or not.

I'll most likely make 1K again for 2012. I've got a bit more INTL travel coming up this year than in previous years, and on Z fares or better. I also plan on making 1 MM this quarter.

I'm planning to credit my domestic & INTL flights to MP until I make MM. Then I'll probably credit domestic travel (cheaper coach fares) to MP to make 1K again. But I'm tempted to credit some of the premium cabin INTL travel to Miles & More, to build up miles there for upgrades/tickets. No way to make 1K and SEN, but I can probably make 1K and FTL (FWIW). I'm looking at one of the (very reasonable) SQ RTW (in F) trips for later this year. Much better yield of EQMs if crediting to M&M v. MP, AFAICT.

IIRC he said 155k by end of January.

Sitting at 42K now and I did 27 segments so far... I need to do more long hauls

In Feb, I got nothing booked on the CO/UA side [mostly AS/DL], however I have two mega trips in early March that will give me another 35K.

So, will I reach 1K for 2012? You bet!

This is my third year as a 1K and it will be my last for the foreseeable future.

I have 36,014 BIS so far this year; however, I'm moving to Europe in the Spring and will have limited opportunity to fly UA metal for the next few years. Thus, I will be happy to stop at 1P/*G as most of my flying in 2012 and beyond is likely to be on another *A carrier.

I will make 1K for 2012 as I have almost that many miles booked already but more importantly, I have to fly 125K to achieve 1MM as I'm afraid they may change the program next year. Does anybody know for sure if CO miles will count towards million mile status on UA? As the bulk of my flying is always in the first half of the year, I will probably credit some miles to CO during the year so as not to hit 1K too early on UA and get the SWUs credited early.

So far, we've booked 50K EQM for the year, with two major trips still to go. If I get accepted at a conference in Shanghai, that'll be another 12K, so with a couple transcon and Hawaii weekend, we should make it.

It's just so much harder this year with the ridiculous airfare. I may be forced to fly MU to Shanghai for that reason, and that would really eat into our totals.

Nobody knows, though I assume it's likely (probably not 1:1 however).

I have 20k already on CO. I have another 40-50k booked on UA. Playing the CO-UA combined mileage game this year. Contemplating crediting CO to hit status on the of chance that Smisek's CO guys get preference.
Leary of that however.

After two years at 1K, I'll be lucky to scrape by as 1P. Grounded for the first three months due to a family medical issue and can't make many plans until things clear up.
