As a long-time CO Plat, I applaud the use of Rhapsody - certainly one of the classiest touches at UA.

I like Rhapsody In Blue, but that piano arrangement on the safety videos drives me mad.

+1 absolutely horrible. It's especially grating in the morning for some reason.

A commercial before the safety video? Really?

And one correction to the talking head's message. They are creating the world's biggest airline, not the world's leading airline.

CO has had a message from Smisek before the safety video for a long time, I believe it changes now and then.

"Leading" has no defined meaning for this purpose, so it's pure marketing fluff.

Other than RiB(which I am glad is staying) is there anything about that video United? It looks like a slight remix of the existing CO video.
Maybe that is because it is the one for CO metal, is the UA video the intro with old UA safety part?

Yes. On my flight last Tuesday it was the new intro with Smisek plus the same old safety video we all know so well.

This isn't really about being on TV, it is actually how Bethune did it, Kellner followed suit, and now TheJeff does it and brings it to UA.
