ACA Strikes Again....
I'm enjoying my 3 hour delay @ PVD right now due to a 'Mechanical' with PVD-IAD that should have left 30 minutes ago, still waiting on the RJ.
I'm re-booked PVD-ORD then to SAN less my upgrade. The UA agents have been great here and I can tell from the looks on their faces they'll be glad to see ACA go away.
On the plus side there's a T-Mobile HotSpot here! (who knew?)

ACA appears to be acting very unprofessional during these times. Make no mistake, flyers that are inconvenienced will not forget and that will not bode well for Independence Air.

Anyone want to guess how long Independence Air will last?
My guess: less than six months - RIP

I made it to SAN 3 hours late and got my upgrade back. I would like to thank the professional staff @ PVD who truly appreciate their customers. The gate agent even thanked me and apogized (even though no UA fault) for my understanding and for sticking with UA. He offered to rebook me on NW that arrived the same time as there were delays in ORD (surprise) but I figured my chances were even to arrive tonight.

CapeCod,
Be sure to take the time to send a letter of thanks to UA for those agents who helped you... especially if you have their name.
Sounds like they helped make an unfortunate ACA situation bearable for you.

Wharvey,
Good suggestion, I have never written them but I will be penning a letter this week.
Happy Flying.

If you have been following my posts about ACA you will know that to this day I had 2 on time flights out of 30 I have taken from YUL. (Both IAD and ORD)
I went to their website and wrote them a letter how frustrated I was with their service. 3 days ago, I get a letter from them with the letterhead of "United Express".
I was disgusted by the fact that they used United's name on their envolope. It should read "Atlantic Coast Airlines". It was giving this BS of "how hard to run an airline" and "there may be a delayed flight or two, but over all we are good" cr*p.
Numerous times gate/phone agents told me that I was not alone with my frustration with this airline. One of them even said "Don't worry, they are on their way out".
I am sure Skywest, AirWiz will do much better job. I flew IAD-RIC and back few weeks ago on Waterski. This was a former ACA route. Both departures left on time.
As they say in Quebec, "au revoir" ACA.
