VDB
I was reading past threads about S*UAL/DENIED-VDB and it helped me a lot. The one answer I could not get is about how much the ticket is worth. UA seems to give either $200 or $400 and up to $600 I think.
If for example you give up your seat, they give you a free ticket and then you go to CS and get it changed to a credit voucher (to avoid a gate hassel), how do they decide how much you get? |
This has been listed in many past threads, but here it is again:
0-3 hours $200 3-6 hours $400 6+ hours $600 This is the schedule for domestic vdb's. BillJ |
Anyone happen to know what the Voluntary Downgrade Schedule is. Last weekend they were offering $300 cash at the RCC to downgrade from C to Y on my HKG-NRT flight (this is a 4 hour flight). Then at the gate the gate agent said that the schedule said it was $250 for this length of flight.

This may sound dumb, but can you take a VDB to a CS counter and get it xchanged for a travel credit?

For the most part yes, it may take some direction on your part but its in the rules. [This message has been edited by anc-ord772 (edited Nov 21, 2003).] |
