Becoming a millionaire today
This evening, I'll go over a million miles on UA metal. It took me seventeen years to log that many.
Thanks to many who post on this forum. Without FlyerTalk, I would have had no idea that there even was a Million Mile status on UA. Come to think of it, I didn't even know there was such a thing as 1K or international upgrades before becoming a regular to this forum three years ago. I feel like I owe a million thanks to many FlyerTalkers.
At least my kids owe PremEx for a long laugh last night when I told them that he has been known to congratulate new Million Milers as members of "The Flat Butt Club."
If anyone is on their way to FRA from ORD tonight, email me quick.

Reaching the 1MM mark was an anti-climax for me. And after 1K or UGS treatment, lifetime 1P is a downgrade. Now Hyatt has given me lifetime Diamond, which is their top tier. I wish United would do somethig similar.

To read my own report of my somewhat anti-climatic "Million Mile Flight" back in 1999, see:
Drum Roll, Please!
You should get some goodies in the mail along with your new card and a letter, however.

The MP service desk will tell you your lifetime balance if you ask in a phone call.

Congrats to you both!
Now if I could only aggregate my old miles from Braniff, PSA, Allegheny, etc......

I called, and they said "who? huh?"
Apparently my connection to PremEx or auh2o is not strong enough yet to pull some strings...
