Wow, some pretty tasty people out there today !! SEA TIGGER ; I genuinely wanted to use miles to upgrade. I had flown from Hawaii the night before (first class) and was feeling real tired. The reason why I couldn't ask at ticketing is because the V fare, not upgradable.
I was not complaining about not being upgraded to first in place of the 2 UAX employees, I just question the fact that I spend a lot of money on United every year and they lost an opportunity to wow me. By the way, there were 2 empty seats in C. That's all...

Could you please direct some of us to the "tasty" people in the bunch? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif Thanks. . .as far as your "questioning" you have received op-upgrades - did that not "wow" you?

I'm sorry couscous but to me, it still seems like you are asking something for nothing. You sound as though you are entitled to a FREE upgrade (or upgrade with miles with an NON-UPGRADALBE FARE) simply because you "spend a lot of money" with United. If you feel you should be in First Class, then please purchase an upgradable tix or a First Class ticket.
