US Codeshare standby same day, HOW?
 
Have a ticket for a 12 noon flight next week which is mostly full, but desperately need to be there BY noon, necessitating a 6 a.m. flight. With all the new TSA crap, what is the procedure for standing by same day, specifically, do I go to UA (booked and ticketed on united.com) or US (the metal)? What is the charge, if any? If I stop by the airport the night before, any chance the T/A will do the change for me for the next morning's flight? If I were to call to change ahead of time for the same day, earlier flight, what would the damage be? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for the advice!
