Seating
I am puzzled as to how United does its seating reservations. If you go on the website and make a reservation and then try to reserve seats, you will notice that the last five or six rows are completely filled which is odd since I would think most people would want to be seated more in the front.
Does the airline just block off seats in the back? |
Aloha honmani2,
Those seats in the back that aren't available are blocked off to be assigned on date of departure by UA airport agents. |
These choice last row seats, most especially the centre ones on widebodies, and most especially the ones near the 4 screaming infants, are kept back and blocked especially for folks who turn up at airports and try and BS the check-in agents. Saying you are using a SWU to upgrade and then forgetting it etc, and hoping 500 milers might do instead. etc.
And they say "sorry no NC seats on hand right now, but I doooooooooooooo have a nice seat for you down at 61E. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
