Anyone have a *clue* what this means?
Hi!
I was just working with the booking engine on United.com. I assume all of you are familiar with it.
Anyhow, I was checking flights between LHR and JFK, and a few flight options came up.
However, on one of the flights, the availability said:
1st Y, Biz Y, Coach WL .
Does anyone know exactly what that "WL" refers to? And also, what that "Y" refers to? Any info would be extremely helpful!
Thanks!
Derek

Y = Yes (there is a seat available for purchase)
WL = Waitlist
WL = Waitlist

"Y" = Yes = Seats available
"WL" = Waitlist = No seats available
If you change to "expert" mode, you'll get to see the actual availability, by fare class, such as:
F3 A1 C9 D3 Y9 B9 M9 H9 Q5 V4 W1 Z0
If you do a search, there is a very good thread somewhere in the UA Forum, posted by ozstamps that lists all of the fare classes and what they mean.
