taking the 4:35pm DCA-ORD and got my first complementary upgrade!
I thought it would be tough to get the upgrade on Friday afternoon but I'm pleasantly surprised!

I would think it would be easier to separate the success and failures.
I also think simply knowing the failures are what is needed more than success as it will give us routes to use CR1's on for future travel.

Just got upgraded to First Class on SFO-OGG on Mar 21. Although it wasn't quite automatic. I called UA to ask why my flight was not upgraded or shows upgrade pending. Was told my L class booking is a group fare and had to talk to 2 agents and their supervisors. But finally got the upgrade.

I volunteered to be bumped from an earlier flight. I was confirmed 1st on this leg. THe GA booked me on the next flight, but told me that it would be economy.
I arrived at the next gate 50 minutes before departure. I asked that GA if she could list me for an upgrade. She was very nice about it. Suggested that it looked good w/ my status. My name immediately went to the top of the list of 6 names that were showing on the tv monitor. 15 minutes later, she called my name and I was in. The last 1st seat on the flight.

Mrs. & I were on 45, LAX-OGG today.
We had cleared on Monday on e500s.
Noticed that the flight went out with 2 empty F cabin seats, and that there was also a commuting UA FA going home to Maui. She told me she was surprised she got to sit in F, as had thought UDU would fill up the F cabin.
