UA hubs in JD Powers survey: DEN #2, IAD not even rated!!!
Other UA hubs:
SFO # 13
ORD # 14
LAX # 19
IMHO, for UA elite fliers LAX is definitely not that bad thanks to T6 checkin.
As for IAD: Unless the airport serves less than 30 million pax it's interesting why it is not rated.
Update: IAD ranked as # 17 in the medium sized category of 10 - 30 million pax - thanks ORD4R.

Probably because it would be rated to low to print.
IAD can be a mess for UA flyers when connecting to the A gates, plus this research was done when the train was not running yet (which is another story)

DTW takes honors as #1... I do like that airport very nice. Recently re-done, spacious, and nice! Love the LH lounge while waiting for my UA flights too!
At #3, MSP is also a very nice airport. Great food there and easy to navigate. I was there yesterday.
I would have guessed LAS / IAH higher and PHX / CLT lower. I also hate the ATL airport and that's up pretty high. I don't think LAX is that nice so I can see why that's a bit lower.
Anyhow, somewhat interesting of an article, but there isn't much specific info given.
The weird star tours buses are obnoxious.

Is DTW number one because of the operation or the fact that you're leaving Detroit?

IAD, LGA, BOS were all at the very bottom. All of them got lowest marks in each rating category. IAD eked the two others barely out by one "average" rating in "food & retail services". Luckily for IAD there was no rating for immigration & customs facilities.

They're probably just a bit short of 30 million, given the fact that oinly UA runs a large operation there.

The Food in the UA terminal is horrible but it is very good in the B gates.
LGA is a nightmare

anyone else surprised to see YVR ranked near the bottom for medium-sized airports? Ive only been through YVR once, but I really liked it.

JFK's tough as every terminal is like it's own little airport. I'd give T7 (UA) 4/5 stars - only dragged down by a lack of a priority security line and taking an hour to get to the city by public transit.
