Elite comp to AS?

Anyone have any recent experiences in asking AS (Alaska Air) for a status comp? Will they comp UA PremEx/1K to MVP Gold?

I was comp'd to MVP/G by faxing in my Premier Executive statement and copy of the card in December. It took almost 3 weeks to receive my card. I like AS very much and fly them every opportunity.

Where'd you fax the information?

Helped a couple folks get comp'd from Delta to AS. This was in January.

Took about a week, and they were MVP Gold.

Fax a copy of your elite mileage statement to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan at 206-433-3477.

So here's my question...I've been a PremEx for a few years now - didn't qualify last year for even Premier and just found out that I'm going to be flying AS a fair amount. My statement obviously doesn't show much activity and my status expires at the end of the month (because of the extra grace period to requalify). Would AS comp me? Also, could I send them a printout of my online statement as I don't have my paper statements at work and would like to try this soon (have a flight in a little over a week!)

online statements generally work, can't say for AS specifically (You might pose the question in the AS fourm)

If you write a nice letter detailing how much you plan to fly AS this year (15K is MVP and 35K is MVP/Gold) and how much you will spend, there is a chance that they will offer you status. You can also fax in your online statement from UA that shows your current status and how much you have flown in the past.

AS actually wants business and is pretty good with this type of thing.

FWIW, 6 days after sending in my request, I have been comped to MVP Gold and am already confirmed in 1st for one of my 4 segments next week....very nice...thanks again to FT!
