Code Share w/US Air
I am heading to DEN at the end of the month and found flights that meet my schedule from DCA using a non-ual.com (Gov't contract carrier) site. When I spoke to the agent to book the tics, I was told that these flights are US Air code share. I was told that my miles would be "status" qualifying miles. A United agent confirmed this but that since was new she had to check on it. Of course, I have to check in at the US Air counter, and I could not use my Premier status for seating. Anyone else come up against this?
Thanks. ------------------ HH Gold |
Effective March 1, UA and US are recognizing elite status on each other. So with your Premier status, you can use the US Preferred line for check-in. You should also be able to call in advance and secure a preferred seat. But since US doesn't have anything like UA's Economy Plus seating, that is a limited benefit.

Thanks Harold, didn't know that!
