V class non-upgradable?
 

Booking coach tickets on some long international routing (LAX-SYD) using award coupons from Hilton, showing up in the reservation computer as V class.

I know that on paper they are said to be non-upgradeable, but wondering if I would have any luck using status/miles/SWUs/$/sob stories to get an upgrade on these tickets.

Any experience or advice?

SWUs are certainly good on V fares until end March and there are LOTS of March 312 SWU about. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif
