The blueberry muffin is something new. Great idea ^. Was it served warm? I like that there was butter with it as well.

The blueberry muffin is a staple in the "breakfast" between PHL and ORD. Always a muffin + fruit plate IME.

March 20 UA 5 JFK-SFO PS F

Aircraft was substitued to a two-class 757. A lot of unhappy passengers. Including yours truly. I had upgraded from PS C to F, and looking forward to flight.

Apple Pancake was my choice.

Sad for the plane switch but I like what they served for breakfast on a 757 domestic F flight...every single breakfast flight I've been on has always been some sort of omelette which I like but the pancakes would be a nice change...yum!

Lunch

Choice of Shrimp Salad or Hot Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Sandwich came with a salad. Shrimp Salad came with a roll. Both had a chocolate chip cookie.

The 757 had empower ports, but were not on. When I asked the flight attendant she said the plane did not have the equipment or power to have them on. Never had that experience before, usually if the plugs are there they work, otherwise they are covered up. FWIW, seats were the new leather ones.

Yum. Remember when the apple pancakes replaced the dreaded McMuffin on the 2hr breakfast flights a couple years ago? I miss those (the pancakes--not the other crap).

I ordered the low fat meal on a redeye and got a chicken breast over diced tomato, onion, and some other stuff (not sure but it tasted good). Also had bread and a sugar free cookie that that I traded for a real cookie like everyone else was getting. I thought it was much better than the usual fruit plate or the chicken and rice that I have had before when ordering the low fat meal on redeyes.

What kind of snack can I expect from DCA-ORD? Can I order a special meal (agent told me I couldn't, but that seems strange)? I'm a vegi (not vegan, and don't mind cheese), but wouldn't want any deli meat near it.

Business (seat 9D)

http://img443.yfrog.com/i/photo9ob.jpg/

Featured cocktail
The Jet Setter Cosmopolitan

To begin
fresh from the bakery- a selection of muffins, croissants, and bagels.

Main course
Cheese frittata with creamy spinach; roasted potatoes and turkey sausage
http://img96.yfrog.com/i/photo2wh.jpg/
It wasn't at all tasty. I would pick the pancakes next time- although they looked awfully tiny, too.

Apple pancakes with maple cream syrup and turkey canadian bacon

Fresh seasonal fruit plate with muesli

Coffee in a mug- wish this could be found systemwide! http://bit.ly/bTVjSK

First (seat 3B)

http://bit.ly/cXBLqD

Featured cocktail
The Jet Setter Cosmopolitan

To begin
Smoked salmon roll on a bed of marinated cucumbers -- this was pretty good!
Fresh seasonal greens with black olive and sliced radishes with creamy garlic dressing.
http://bit.ly/cVYkMB

Main course
Spinach and ricotta stuffed chicken with red pepper sauce, couscous with chives, and stir-fried vegetables

Stir-fried shrimp with egg fried rice and california stir-fried vegetables.
http://bit.ly/a1T3dt
I chose this one, probably the tiniest inflight meal I've ever seen.

Dessert
Chocolate and grand vanilla ice cream with a choice of hot fudge, hot caramel, or whipped cream toppings.
http://bit.ly/a1T3dt
I asked to put all toppings on the ice cream- and they were good

Upon arrival
Warm chocolate chip cookies
Never served. I smelled cookies about an hour prior to landing, but apparently they were cookies for C pax! The purser forgot to serve cookies, nor she handed out bottled water to all F pax. Service was mediocre.

Forgot to add: THE NUTS WERE FREEZING COLD!!! ...?

The thing which kills it for me is that hideous foil container with the sauce. Why would it be so difficult to pour it into a small ramekin; such as the one used for butter or the nuts? very tacky....
