3 certs instead of 2 please
Yesterday, on the way home from MCI-PHL, I was confirmed upgrade on the first leg and wait listed on the second. The total mileage is 1035 for the flight and on the outboard flight the week before I was told it was a total of two certs (a 50 mile grace is allowed). However, at the airport yesterday, I was told that if the upgrade goes through in Chicago, then the ORD-PHL leg of my trip would cost me 2 certs for a total of 3 certs for 1035 miles. I asked why this was and was told because it hadn't been conmirmed as of receipt of my boarding pass. Anyone else run into this situation?
The irony was that I cancelled the second upgrade and then was bumped from my flight. I got a free ticket and a free upgrade!
