Premier Status Query
Greetings all,
I have today received my first ever Mileage Plus Premier card. It's the first time I've ever qualified for any sort of elite status and I have a question about it.
All the UAL MP literature i've read (including the booklet that came with the card) leads me to belive that I have now qualified for Premier status this calender year for the next calendar year - so the status is good through until the end of 2003. However, the card has an expiry date of 2/28/03. Am I mistaken in what i've read or have i mucked up somewhere?
Sorry if this is a simple or daft question - I'm just a bit confused!

It will be good until 2/29/04. Expect a new card in Jan/Feb 2003.

Congrats and welcome to FT. Since you have qualified for Premier status this year, it is good for the remaining of the calendar year (Feb 28, '03), and then will also count for next year (through Feb 29 '04). You will receive a new card in Jan/Feb of next year.
Just a side note, if you have made any reservations before you reached your status you will want to give UA a call and have them reenter your MP number. This will then allow your status to show on the PNR.

Thanks for your replys and your greetings!
I have made a reservation since qualification, but I assume they have the fact I'm a Premier in the system as they happily seated me in E+. However, thanks for the advice.
