What is - "VOLUNTARY REROUTING PERMITTED"
Was checking a UA fare SYD to Uruguay for next month and one of the fare rules said:
VOLUNTARY REROUTING PERMITTED What does that mean? Involuntary I can understand but VOLUNTARY? Like if I choose to route via Seattle ex SFO or LAX is that OK as a voluntary re-route?? As it is, it is pretty flexible re stopover/transfers. * TRANSFERS: THREE TRANSFERS PERMIITED IN EACH DIRECTION AT LAX/SFO/ORD/MIA AND ONE IN EACH DIRECTION IN SYD/MEL OR AKL. TWO ONLINE STOPOVERS PERMITTED Agent told me that you can fly ORD-SDF-ORD etc and count Louisville as a "stopover". ------------------ ~ Glen ~ Calling all United 1K Members - please join .. www.1Kflyers.com [This message has been edited by ozstamps (edited 09-12-2002).] |

What about this rule "FARES ONLY APPLY IF PURCHASED BEFORE DEPARTURE."?
How do you go about purchasing your ticket after departure? |
Amazing nerd. I gave up and edited out the following huge link as it would not hot link via HTML coding and when pasted straight clearly is too long to click anyway and get to the fare trule. Click your link above and one is right there. Amazing website. Have definitely bookmarked that. No idea how it works, but it does! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Oz, edit your link out. It's causing the screen to horizontal scroll for miles. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

You can achieve a similar result without havign to use makeashorterlink. This from the FAQ for this board:
You can also have true hyperlinks using the [url] code. Just use the following format: [ URL=http://www.webflyer.com ]WebFlyer[ /URL ] (had to add spaces next to the brackets for this example, do not use when posting) In the examples above, the FlyerTalk code automatically generates a hyperlink to the URL that is encased. It will also ensure that the link is opened in a new window when the user clicks on it. Note that the "http://" part of the URL is completely optional. In the second example above, the URL will hypelink the text to whatever URL you provide after the equal sign. Also note that you should NOT use quotation marks inside the URL tag. Jacque, thanks for the thought, but that is simply their home page. nerd posted the perfect answer above to solve this annoying problem, that I get bugged about as much as anyone else. A DARN good website to bookmark for those huge wide Yahoo news links etc too.

Hagbard. Go right ahead. As I posted, that does not work on long links.

So drifting back to the original query:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">'VOLUNTARY REROUTING PERMITTED' What does that mean? </font> ------------------ ~ Glen ~ Calling all United 1K Members - please join .. www.1Kflyers.com |
I think it just simply mean you can change your itinerary (with change fee, of course).
