UA codeshare question

My new GF in flying in next week from GRU at night thru IAD to SFO arriving 9ish on FRIDAY. Airline In Caps Is Continental with (VIA Hus tex) but this sounds
idententical to the UA flight I am taking next month to visit her. Anyone pretty sure this is a code share on UA?. The flight numbers I cannot make out. She is not FT savy still booking everthing thru travel aencies. The trvel doc she faxed of course is in portugease. I assume she will clear customs in IAD, and I will meet her at the domestic terminal? Wow with once a month travel we could both make 1k next year!

Sorry, your post is a little confusing... when you say "Airline In Caps Is Continental with (VIA Hus tex)" do you mean the airline reads CONTINENTAL and is a flight through Houston, Texas? That would make sense and would be a continental operated flight and would not be a codeshare with UA since next Friday is before the CO/UA alliance begins.

Yeah I don't quite understand what you're asking either... if she is flying GRU-IAD-SFO and both flights are nonstop then it's an all UA itinerary. Perhaps she is flying IAD-IAH-SFO? In that case it could be CO for those legs.

Yes, you always clear customs at your first entry point in the USA so she will clear at IAD. She will go through immigration at the mid-field terminal and after clearing security will come out in the C gates where United flights depart from. If she is indeed continuing on Continental she'll have to head to whatever terminal they fly out of at IAD.
