web check in availability

I am envious of the Alaska FF's who can pick seats and check in on their flights online.

I wonder when UA would be able to make this available to their customers. Something like this would be a GODSEND, as well as reduce check in counter lines for UA.

I appreciate UA FA's and Captains treating 1k's with special gestures, but something like the web check-in would have real meaning, especially for 1k's.

This is the same airline that does not have self check-in stations at it's 2nd largest hub, where it has over 65% of the traffic in and out of the airport. In other words, don't hold your breath.

UAL's technology has been years behind everyone elses. If you want some really fun hands-on stuff, try out Delta. I think they now have 6 ways you can check in using some electronic device. Fun.
